Restaurants Help Haiti

Restaurants often are among the first to respond when disaster strikes, and several sprung into action immediately after Tuesday’s earthquake in Haiti. As with most restaurant-led philanthropic activities, they engaged staff and guests to help.
The following relief organizations are collecting food, drinking water and money for Haitian earthquake victims:

Today we participated in a very important and instructive webinar with Dawn Sweeney and her team on Health Care. Dawn had her contract lobbyists from both the Democratic and Republican sides of the aisle explain the status of the debate. The three of us and Anthony Anton complimented Dawn on the strategy she is employing on behalf of our industry. It is the right one at the right time. We need to do all we can to get this message across to our members.

Meersman Elected CSRA President
Peter Meersman, CAE, president and CEO of the Colorado Restaurant Association, was elected president of the Council of State Restaurant Associations (CSRA). Meersman took office at CSRA’s 73rd Annual Meeting in Chicago in May. click here to continue . . .
